We're testing the Youtube IFrame API with a Android tablet app and found differences between the Simulator  and Deployed rendered version.   Basically it appears the simulator version is using an AS3 player while the deployed is html5player.   Is this related to the youtube media type or other?

Hi Dave,

I suppose that the difference comes from the way how the player is handled by the different mobile browsers. As you can see there are additional restrictions for some of them.

Notice that there might be some differences in the output between the Simulator and actual device so the ultimate app test remains on device deployment.

However, I am not aware in depth of YouTube's API and I recommend contacting Google for additional clarification.
