Hello ,
Currently " DataGridTemplateColumn" doesn't support "Edit" operation and therefore it doesn't have "CellEditingTemplate". The "DataGridTemplateColumn" supports any content, so it is possible to directly set a content that allows direct editing.

We have this Feature Request logged in our backlog and we consider implementing it for some of our future releases.
