Dear all,
We are starting this new thread to keep you informed on the progress with the RadControls for WinForms documentation in the forthcoming release. Here we will post weekly (and sometimes nightly) builds of the product documentation for the products that we are currently working on. These builds:
We are looking forward to your comments, notes and topic requests. We would like you to tell us what you like or dislike in the way we develop the help files. All your opinions will be generously rewarded with Telerik points.
Thank you in advance! Expect the first version to appear later today.
Best Regards,
The Telerik Team
We are starting this new thread to keep you informed on the progress with the RadControls for WinForms documentation in the forthcoming release. Here we will post weekly (and sometimes nightly) builds of the product documentation for the products that we are currently working on. These builds:
- will be complete enough for regular usage
- will show the progress we are making with each new iteration
- for the time being will not include API Reference, but we'll provide separate monthly builds
We are looking forward to your comments, notes and topic requests. We would like you to tell us what you like or dislike in the way we develop the help files. All your opinions will be generously rewarded with Telerik points.

Best Regards,

Hello,
As promised, here is the first portion of manuals available in CHM format only:
We would like to say once again that these are only weekly builds and not the final versions.
We are waiting for your comments and notes to make these manuals really useful.
Thank you,
The Telerik Team

Hello,
It's been a while since the last post here but we've prepared you a good portion of new stuff. Four new weekly builds are waiting for your review:

So far, things look very good!
Small spelling error in the Visual Style Builder docs. In the "Overview" under the "Animate Changes" paragraph, you reference the "Business Car" example when I believe you meant the "Business Card" example.
Also, in the RadTreeView, in the footer for each page, it says " (c) MyCompany - All Rights Reserved"

I'm probably being stupid, but every time I download one of the .chm files, opening it reveals only a TOC and no detail. Just question marks in the right panel. I assume I'm doing something wrong, but I don't know what.
Any ideas?

Telerik doesnt' provide the documentation in pdf format.
PDF is must easier to scroll and one can read it in ereader etc...
I dont' know why Telerik insists on CHM format ..

Hi IK,
CHM stands for Microsoft Compiled HTML Help is the commonly accepted standard for help documentation. PDF stands for Portable Document Format and is intended for reading. Although PDFs are easier to read, CHMs are easier to search through.
We do not provide PDFs of our documentation, indeed, however there are several tools (some free) which can covert CHM files to PDF, but we will consider providing PDFs in the future as well.
Sincerely yours,
Vassil
