Thanks for the help.
I'm trying to make a desktop-like application windows. For this I used an MDI container form and the menu bar at the bottom.
Another problem I noticed is that when maximizing a window, the window control box appears on the bottom of the screen.

You could help me with this?

Thanks

Victor

Hi Victor,

When you have a RadMenu on your RadForm the MDI menu functionality is automatically delegated to it. You are not able to turn it off.

However, we will consider allowing the user to customize this behavior and thus be able to determine whether RadMenu will show the MDI system buttons or the containing form itself.

We will release this new feature in Q3 2009 SP1. There will be a property in RadMenu,  IsMainMenu, which will define whether RadMenu will show the MDI control box or not.

You can write back anytime if you have further questions or any suggestions regarding this new functionality.

Thanks for your time.

Sincerely yours,
Deyan

Thanks for the reply,
I placed a background image on my form and MDI child windows when moving the application performance degrades, the movement is super slow. I tried changing the property of the form BackgroundImageLayout from TILE to CENTER, which improved. This is a bug?

Any particular suggestion.

Thanks

Hello rafaelSC,

Thanks for writing back and for your question.

Please, send your new support inquiries under corresponding categories so that they are processed properly and on time.

In general, drawing a large image is expensive operation and thus the performance of your application might degrade since the image is redrawn each time you move or resize your form. However, it will be helpful if you manage to create a small Windows Forms application that manages to reproduce the issue so that we can take a look and see how we can help. Thanks for your time.

All the best,
Deyan
