The namespace change or release has severe issues on my Win8.1 box with VS.Net 2013 Ultimate Update 4, I am clearly using the correct new space ya'll decided to go with for the RadDataboundListbox, yet it doesn't work.  Hell I have the reference correct and RadDataGrid is borked as well... That reference supposedly included with the extension reference doesn't even list Grid as a control, looking at the object viewer clearly shows it in there but xaml reference says pound sand.

Been able to work around the Extension issue by directly adding control libraries to the project as direct references.  But now I am getting errors at run time such as

Telerik.UI.Xaml.Controls.TemplateNotAppliedException: Exception of type 'Telerik.UI.Xaml.Controls.TemplateNotAppliedException' was thrown.

   at Telerik.UI.Xaml.Controls.RadControl.VerifyTemplateApplied()

   at Telerik.UI.Xaml.Controls.RadControl.ArrangeOverride(Size finalSize)

   at Telerik.UI.Xaml.Controls.Chart.RadChartBase.ArrangeOverride(Size finalSize)

   at Windows.UI.Xaml.FrameworkElement.ArrangeOverride(Size finalSize)

Really not feeling the support we should be getting for a product that has huge potential, I have multiple issues with Universal assemblies with the Windows 8.1 side, right now I am getting Object Instance issues.  I will be trying "RECREATING" my existing project and see if it maybe some cluster of issues that are stemming from some wayward assembly causing the overall issue.  I have posted multiple times over the last few days since the release.

The minute I installed the update to the controls has been met with BS from left to right...

Ended up trying one last attempt before going back to the previous version Q3 2014.  I decided to research how to wipe out the cached download.  Clearing that and re-downloading the newer version and followed by getting it installed seem to be the trick, everything appears to be working correctly.  Must have been a bad download. Go figure.

Hello Morgan,

Thank you for contacting us! The issue you have encountered was a result of a corrupted file. The file is now corrected, so the downloading and reinstalling is the correct course of action.

Please excuse us for the inconvenience caused.

I have this problem too, it's a very bad upgrade experience I have for telerik product.

Why don't you change your new beta DataBoundListBox in to new name to something like DataBoundListBoxExt, and leave your old DataBoundListBox control until the new one passed the beta  ?

I also have to revert to Q3 2014, to be honest, don't impressed with Q1 2015 for Release, the only new control added in this release is SideDrawer compared to Q3.

I'm happy if I'm wrong, but I even think telerik will abonding WP/Universal judging from this release.

Hello Fakhru,
Thank you for contacting us. I'm not sure I fully understand your suggestion about renaming the controls. Could you please elaborate a bit more.
The Q1 2015 release of UI for Windows Universal adds 4 new universal controls to the suite - ListView (beta), SideDrawer, LoopingList and NumericBox.
I can assure you we're far from abandoning the new Windows Runtime. Universal Windows Apps play an important role in our native mobile offering since the main goal of our native mobile suites (Android, iOS, Windows Universal, Xamarin) is to provide developers with similar APIs and features for building native mobile apps. In addition, UI for Windows Phone 8 is one of the richest development tools for building WP apps and it would be a shame if we don't enable the controls for WinRT.
Let me know what you think. I'd be glad to continue the discussion with you.

I think, it's better if I start my own thread than hijacking this thread, :D
But I'm glad you ensure that telerik will not abandoning Windows Universal.
