Is there a way to setup Kendo UI Scheduler in timeline view to show a time span across midnight?
If startTime and endTime are in the same day all works fine, if I set two different days it show nothing.
I created two dojo examples. They are different only for startDate and endDate
(working, single day) http://dojo.telerik.com/@purchased.software@deltatre.com/Otale/2
(not working, across days) http://dojo.telerik.com/@purchased.software@deltatre.com/OTUmA
Thanks!

The desired behavior is not supported out of the box and custom solution would be required. The easiest way to show such events is to modify the view date range to always show two days (in this case this would be 13 and 14 June 2013). For example of creating custom views with custom date ranges you can check the following demo in our documentation:

Thanks for the suggested demo.
We tried to manage a working solutions but without success.
The simple process to have more days is quite trivial with your directions but we need to start/end our schedule with custom time (ie: 4PM to 4AM) and not the full two days.
I'm hacking with calculateDateRange and related functions without any success.
I would need a direction to the function that "check if an event is inside startDate and endDate" and show it accordingly.
May you help us?
Thanks!
As I mention in my previous reply the build-in views does not support the desired ranges - that why you should show full two days and filter the events to be only in the range that you need. To filter events in given range you can use server filtering (demo here).

ThanksVladimir for the answer,
the problem is that we currently can:
- setup timeline for two days, from 4pm to 4am (for example)
- setup server filtering on same interval
the problem is that when acrsoss midnight the scheduler is empty.
any other advice?
From the provided information it's not clear for us what is the reason for current behavior - could you please provide runable example where the issue is reproduced? This would help me advice you better how to proceed.

This is a two days example with custom view like you addressed
http://dojo.telerik.com/@purchased.software@deltatre.com/ihIzI
With this parameters it works fine
- date: new Date("2016/4/18")
- startTime: new Date("2016/4/18")
- endTime: new Date("2016/4/19")
Also with these parameters
- date: new Date("2016/4/18")
- startTime: new Date("2016/4/18 8:00:00 AM")
- endTime: new Date("2016/4/19 8:00:00 PM")
BUT with start hours (8PM) greather than end hours (8AM) it won't work
- date: new Date("2016/4/18")
- startTime: new Date("2016/4/18 8:00:00 PM")
- endTime: new Date("2016/4/19 8:00:00 AM")
Thanks for your kind support
I already mention several times that the Scheduler does not support out of the box showing ranges across midnight. In order to show the desired behavior you should show full two days and if needed restrict the users from editing the parts of the day that you don't need. Also for convenience you can make the Scheduler scroll automatically to the start time that you need.

Hi Vladimir, any possibile solution to this problem?
We are blocked by this issue and we can't go ahead
Thanks
In current case as the desired behavior require custom solution I could only suggest to check our professional services.

Hello Vladimir,
Can you explain why you think that what we are requesting is a custom solution? we just need to show events across the midnight and you told us that it is possibile in the previous thread. Can we check if we are on the same pitch since it is getting urgent and we are getting confusing from your different answers / solutions.
it seems that we are requesting a standard scheduler behavior as you mentioned. We are not able to make it work and we need to solve it as soon as possible since we need the scheduler for the next Olympic Games.
If you are not able to solve this issue, can you please give us a fast track to solve it even paying ?
Thank you very much.
By "custom solution" we imply a behavior or feature, which is not supported out-of-the-box and requires extensive widget customization (changes in the source code) in order to be achieved. Such customizations are outside the scope of our technical support service, but can be discussed with our Professional Services department. I have notified our colleagues about your interest and they will get in touch with you.

Hi Dimo,
Our company also needs the functionality which the scheduler shows ranges across midnight.
May I know please how can we customize the widget and what the cost would be?
Thanks,
Reyniel Sunga
Hi Reyniel,
I am glad to inform you that ranges and events across midnight are already supported:

Hi Dimo
Thanks for the prompt reply.
Just want to inquire as well if how am I going to incorporate it on my code?
Should I download a new library from Kendo?
Does our current Kendo installation had already the said feature?
Best regards,
Reyniel
Hi Reyniel,
Scheduler time slots that span across midnight are supported since R3 2017, version 2017.3.913 (release notes).
If you are using an older Kendo UI version, you will need to upgrade. To do that, please ask the license holder at your company to assign you as a license developer, so that you have access to the product installers.
When upgrading, be sure to check our documentation about breaking changes.

Hi Dimo,
I've just purchased a licensed for Kendo UI but seems I couldn't see the minified js and css versions on the package.
May I know please where to get them?
Thanks,
Reyniel
Hi Reyniel,
1. Go to the Kendo UI download page in your account.
2. Download the kendoui.for.jquery.2020.2.513.commercial.zip bundle: screenshot.
3. Open the downloaded archive.
4. You can find the minified js and CSS files in the js and styles folders respectively.
