Place Label and Textbox on a form. Now if texbox comes above label and again we separate label and textbox at design time the backgroud of textbox become color of control. Why it is so...It should be white...

Hi Abhisek Shukla,

Thank you for reporting this problem. We'd really like to get more information on the specific behavior you're experiencing because I cannot reproduce the issue you're reporting. Can you reproduce it every time in the scenario you're describing?

Here's what I did:
  1. I dragged a textbox and a label on a form, set a backcolor of the textbox and placed it over the label.
  2. I moved the label around (and the textbox moved with it automatically) to make sure that the textbox is fully inside the label.
  3. I dragged the textbox out of the label, but I did not see the label backcolor change to the backcolor of the textbox.
Could you provide a sample project which illustrates the issue, and include the exact steps that cause it?

Sorry for not being able to help you at this point. Still, thanks very much for writing. We hope to fix the issue as soon as we get your project.

Greetings,
Kiril

Hello Kiril,

Here's are steps what to do:
  1. Dragged a textbox and a label on a form,  placed textbox over the label.
  2. Now move the textbox out of label.
  3. Textbox backcolor turns to controls color insted of white

I think this will help you to replicate problem.

Hello Abhisek,

This is indeed a feature of our control suite. It is most often used for buttons, which, when dragged into a pannelbar (and thus becomng its children) have to change their back color to the back color of their parent. In the case of the textbox, this feature is not as useful, and might indeed be removed in the future (for the case of the textbox).

If you'd like to share more details on the scenario you're working on, and why you need to place a textbox within a label, we could try and find a workaround to get the behavior you're aiming to implement.

Regards,
