Can I request a future feature to allow multiple Base URLs?

Hi Steve,
could you please elaborate a little bit on this feature. You would like Test Studio to recognize and not record multiple URLs and not just a single one (the BaseURL)?
What are the particular circumstances of your use case that necessitate this feature?
Please give me a bit more info on this so that I may better formulate the FeatureRequest so that it finds your needs!
Hope to hear from you soon!
Best wishes,

100% protected site:
DEV:
http://login.dev.site.ca <- Login
http://postgrad.dev.site.com <- Site to test
LIVE:
http://login.site.ca <- Login
http://postgrad.site.com <- Site to test
What do you recommend?

Hi Steve,
Cody

This is an interesting problem. If you were using the application manually (no automation) I assume the user is supposed to start at the login site? How are they supposed to progress from login to the site to test? After logging in do you have to manually navigate to the site to test or is this done automatically via a redirect or some such?
Greetings,Cody

Do you want to have your say when we set our development plans?
Do you want to know when a feature you care about is added or when a bug fixed?

Yes, there's a few subdomains all are seperate website projects. These all use the login site as their autentication point, then once logged in (and based on role) you get links to the other subdomains, or can nav over there directly with the RedirectUrl querystring.
So I have a Login test I re-use with the AddTestAsStep...but it's not totally portable to Live as the Live and Test URLs are different as well are the passwords.
It's always been a bit of a pain for me with the tests
What about some sort of URL rewrite rules (even if I have to put them in an XML file)?
- Look for X, replace with Y
- Look for X, replace with Y
- Look for X, replace with Y

Hello Steve,
Cody

How about making your NavigateTo test steps data driven? These test steps to support getting the NavigateUrl from a data source. Have two (or more) columns in your data source that specify the various URL's that are variable but must be matched up for the end-to-end test to work right.
Kind regards,Cody
