    Hi,

I had a RadComboBox on my screen and able to populate it. But when i select any item from DropDown, it is shown in editable portion of combobox but that selected item is right aligned.

For ex: My combobox has item as:

    Abcdgfjhfjf , Ghjfkfkkflflllllflljhkh

and when i select this item, what i see on editable portion is :
     gfjhfjf , Ghjfkfkkflflllllflljhkh

I'm not able to see 'Abcd' , because text is right aligned.

I want it show as :
    Abcdgfjhfjf , Ghjfkfkkflf

means rightmost part visibility is not important to me. PLease suggest.

    Hi Rajeev,

A very similar case has been already discussed in the following forum post. I suppose you could use  the same workaround in your project for the time being. Actually, we have already changed this behavior and in the upcoming Q2 2008 release (expected next week) and you shouldn't need this workaround anymore.

    Best wishes,
    Georgi

    Hello Erin,

    Thank you for writing.

I have to admit that described behavior has not been changed since Q1 2008. I will log this in our system and it will be addressed as soon as possible. Unfortunately, since we have a very tight schedule for Q1 2009, the issue will not be addressed in this upcoming version. You can use the work-around provided in link. Please excuse us for the inconvenience.

Do not hesitate to contact me again if you have other questions.

    Hello Martin,

Have this problem been solved? I just want the text in the Radcombobox to be left aligned.

    Hi Wei,

    Thank you for contacting us.

Actually, we have a completely new and redesigned control RadDropDownList, which substitutes the old combo-box one. Compared to the old one, it has many improvements and new features. I would suggest you to download the latest version of RadControls and give it a try.

More details you can find in our product documentations.

    Kind regards,
    Martin Vasilev

    Hi Wei,

Yes, in the old RadComboBox control you can overcome the issue by setting up the appropriate width. Let me know if you have any other questions.
