  I have been trying to get the Telerik MVC controls to work for a new web application and so far I am not seeing a huge benefit with the controls.   It has made my loading of the project much slower and it does not work well with Razor.  Is there another set of reasons I should use the controls that I don't understand?
  
  I am not trying to be super critical or hating on the controls, I am just trying to understand the value add.

  All Telerik Extensions for ASP.NET MVC are tested and work in Razor. We have a razor version of all our online demos. You can examine the performance of the components in the live demos and utilize the optimization techniques depicted in this resource (using web asset managers).
