    Hi

I'm trying to figure out what the difference is between the standalone test studio, and visual studio plugin version? I couldn't find any decent information on the site telerik site. Does the VS plugin offer all of the same features that the standalone plugin offers?

When a project is exported from the standalone version, can I make changes in the standalone version again and export it again?

    Thanks
    Jon

    Hello Jon,

In general, the core features of functional testing are present in both the VS plugin and Test Studio Standalone: recording tests, test maintenance, quick execution and test lists. However, there are advantages to both: the VS plugin allows powerful debugging, while Test Studio Standalone implements load testing, test scheduling and performance testing. Since the full license for Test Studio includes both the VS Plugin and Test Studio Standalone, you won't have to choose between them.

The VS Plugin and Test Studio Standalone produce the same files, so you can move between editing a project with either client. Please let us know if we can assist you further.

    Hi Beyron,

In above post you mentioned that "full license for Test Studio includes both the VS Plugin and Test Studio Standalone". however still we need to buy the VS licence for VS functionality. Please confirm?

    Thanks

    Hello Sheetal,

Yes this is correct, the full license includes both, and you cannot purchase the VS plugin only, you need to buy a full license.
