Hello Guys i have a little or big problem with the Telerik Trainer. Installation and so went well the introvideo was played without problems. But then i downloaded the videos for visual studio express. I doubleclicked the file the player opened but after Video is starting nothing happened anymore. Reinstalled the app five times redownloaded the file five times no change. At work the player was fine.Running Win XP SP3 and all updates.

    Hello Michael,

We have tried to reproduce this but it all works OK on our side. We will continue the research but will appreciate more info from your side. Do you have problems with just one training session or all of the videos stop while loading? Do you get any errors? Can you please try downloading and playing any of the videos here? Do you see any problem with them?

Thanks in advance for the extra details.

    Sincerely yours,
    Ivo

    Hello Ivo,

thank you very much for your fast replay.

Tried the first four file of the express training and none of them worked for me. No errors accured. But i downloaded the first video on your link and this one worked normaly. Perhaps i have to say that i use a german os and the german version of your trainer.

If you need more informations just tell me

    Greetings,
    Michael

EDIT As you can see i have problems with this forum too.. Using FF 3.1 Beta 3

    Hi Michael,

This indeed is a strange issue and we will continue to look at it. We will also contact the folks on the MS Germany VS Express team if they know of any similar problem.

P.S. We are aware of the problem with FF 3.1 Beta 3. Bad formatting with RadEditor is caused by a bug in FF 3.1 JavaScript engine (specifically in the regular expression parsing). We have reported this to Mozilla a while back and they fixed it. The next official Firefox beta or release candidate will not have this problem.

    All the best,
    Ivo

    Hi Michael,

I have just talked with one of our partners in Germany and he has seen this problem randomly as well.
He had similar problems sporadically (video opened but nothing happened afterwords) but he was always able to open the video using the menu, i.e. File >Open.

Are you able to open the video using the menu?

Opening the files through the main menu always worked without a problem for him so this might be an acceptable workaround until we can reproduce and get the situation corrected.

    Thank you for your collaboration.

I already posted something alike on the readme thread. You were lucky that you got a video running. Mine is not woking neither in work nor in my home. I double checked that I have all the requirements installed, but the frozen "Starting Video" doesn't move a frame.

    Hi,

We have tried these on a lot of configurations and we can not reproduce the problem.

It is most probably a codec issue. We will ask the guys at MS Germany if they can provide a raw video for you to test on WMP.

    Sorry for the temporary inconvenience.

    Thanks admin for responding,
In the meantime, can you recommend a codec to install? I already installed K-Lite Mega Code Pack

    Hello,

Could you please try to open this "raw" .wmv file and see if you get any errors?

It works with VLC and after downloading a codec also with WMP.

    Heureka!

The codec was the solution. Now it works.
