Using the Windows 8 controls from C++/CX

Since the Windows 8 controls are WinRT components, I should be able to use them from a C++/CX application, shouldn't I? How can I get them to appear in the toolbox? Or if they can't get in the toolbox, how do I add them to a native project by hand?

Hi Katherine,

Thank you for contacting us and for your question.

I would like to clarify that our RadControls for Windows 8 are built as standard C# and the .NET runtime class libraries, not as Windows Runtime Components. However, it is possible to consume them from a C++ application. More information may be found at this forum post, that explains step by step how to achieve this scenario.

I have also updated the example from the mentioned blog post, in order to be applicable with our latest official release. Please, see the attached file.
