Hi,

I would like to hear what your vision/goal/plans for Telerik OpenAccess ORM are.

1. Are the vision/goal to produce/support the best ORM system on the planet?
2. Is it "just" to supply us with a ORM that integrates great with Teleriks other controls?
3. Is it to integrate OpenAccess into Sitefinity - and offer the ORM to other systems(especially CSM)?
4. Is it to compete and "bypass" llblgen and other ORM suppliers?
5. Is it?

Hi Bo,

thanks for the questions. I can confirm "Yes" to all of them, besides of No 2. We will integrate very well with all Telerik products, but are not offering ORM just to do that. In fact, we are working on all the items you mentioned in parallel, your numbering indicates the right priorities.

All the best,

Hi,

What are Teleriks official Vision regarding OpenAccess - please use your own words?

I(and others) am interested in the vision for the future and the short term goals (roadmap).

I think it is evident that you state the above, because it's a major trust thing for many of us to change our DAL/ORM.

Hi Bo,

please understand that we can not fully disclose all our plans, but be assured that we do our best using all efforts and deliver more than expected when it comes to
- provide the best ORM by all means (best API, best tooling, best performance, best integration)
- make it easier to design data access by providing smart wizards and higher abstractions layers
- easy migration and integration from/of Microsoft data access technologies
- support all major databases to give our customers that independence for their developments
- complement the .NET development tools and components provided by Telerik, today and in the future
- provide the best and most responsive customer support

We always commit to our roadmap for the next release and publish it accordingly.
Most importantly we listen to our customers; so any community requests receive highest priority.

Greetings,
