Hi there,
I have a TextBox in the details section for some disclaimer text content, as you may know, I want to have the text flushed to left and right, but somehow I cannot make it in the Report Designer. Does anyone has had the same situation? or I am just going the wrong way?
Any help is appreciated!
Zhonghai

Telerik Reporting just cannot make it! Text justification is not THAT difficult!

Hi Zhonghai,
Text justification is not yet supported, but it is in our plans and currently we investigate possible solutions. Possible solutions of the task for the time there is such feature are described in the following forum thread: Text Justification.

Hi Stef,
thanks for forwarding me to this post, BUT, this is not a
solution for me. I've tried already what you guys discussed, when I
export the report to RTF or DOCX format, a lot of styling just simply
disappeared, and this makes things worse. The only possible solution for
me could be exporting the report to PDF format and opening the pdf
report for formatting, but the exported PDF format report is jsut simply
a flat structure without any standard PDF fields defined, and this is
no way to locate or find any element you need to format. Frankly say,
I've done a very deep research on these stuff.
SUM IT UP: if the
exported pdf report is not jsut simply a flat pdf file, I could habe the
solution for the formatting. Any idea to export the report with pdf
fields and form elements?
Telerik Reporting is great, but still a lot of things are disappointing.

Hi Zhonghai,
We reasearch and test possible implementations of the feature, and if there are no major problems until the end of our investigation, the feature will be added in consecutive releases.
For the time being if you need to produce PDF documents, you may test if the new PdfProcessing of UI or Silverlight/WPF can help you with your requirements.

Hi Stef,
thanks for your hints. And here is my case, I am using your Kendo UI and Reporting, and the report is designed with your Report Designer as a trdx xml, which is dynamiclly loaded to export PDF report file. I examined the link you gave me, but I cannot really figure out how I could use a silverlight UI component to manipulate the report exporting process. Could you please give me some more details, or a tiny sample code?

Hello Zhonghai,
Apologies for the misunderstanding. My suggestion was to test using entirely Telerik UI for Silverlight and generate a PDF programmatically by using the new PdfProcessing capabilities. Thus you will have a full control over the document and its content.
If the options for generating a PDF satisfy your requirements, you can check posts in the net describing how to integrate a Silverlight component in an MVC application.

Hello Zhonghai,
An option to justify the text alignment in the plain text report items (text boxes and check boxes) has been added in the latest release of Telerik Reporting.
You can try all new features by installing Telerik Reporting Q3 2014 (8.2.14.1027). More information on the features and fixes can be found in the Release History page.
