When you have a user story with a lot of tasks, there is no way to put them into a logical sequence. We would like to see that problem addressed with a simple numeric ordering column. (Is there a way to do that we just aren't seeing?).
More details:
We use SCRUM. We have planning sessions between each sprint where we plan out 70-85% of all the tasks that will occur in the sprint. Toward the end of the planning sessions, tasks are estimated and our teams use planning poker to make the estimates. When going through the estimating process, it is very helpul to go through the tasks in the logical order required to deliver the story. Since there is no ordering column in the software, we currently put in numbers at the start of each story name and sort by that - often re-ordering. A UI that allows you to enter the number or even re-order with drag and drop in the list would be much more convenient.
