Hello Keen,

This is not available out of the box in Cordova and you would have to use Cordova plugins that expose this functionality e.g.:

• https://github.com/phonegap/phonegap-plugins/tree/master/iPhone/NotificationEx
• https://github.com/phonegap/phonegap-plugins/tree/master/iPhone/networkActivityIndicator

Note that both plugins are not plugman compatible and are also built for very old version of Cordova, so you would have to update them prior using them. For more information refer to the following article:Making a Custom Plugin Plugman-Compatible.
