Hi Daniel,

On some of our computer we  have the same problem but on most of them everything is fine. There is some issue with the bullets in the rich text editor. We are going to investigate it.
Thanks for the report. I give some Telerik points for the report.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for being willing to help us. We will investigate the problem but we will need more time because it is related to the controls that we are using and we will not update them till the end of the year.

Hello,

could you please confirm that this bug will be solved in the next release.
We use a lot of bullet points for describing user stories und because of the sync bug the texts in TFS is a bit of a mess.

Kind regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Yes, the fix will be in the upcoming release. Thanks for the reminder. You need to change something in the description and run the sync after that to see the bullets fine in TFS.

Best wishes,

I would prefer not only the fix for the bullets, but to be able to get the description with rich text format in TFS Work items, so the team can have their links, format and all they need into their work items.

Hi Raquel,

Thanks for the feedback.  I agree that syncing TeamPulse rich text to TFS is a much needed feature and I have added a vote for you (and Daniel) to it.

And just to provide a little more detail, there are a couple issues with sycning rich text to TFS.  The first one is that not all fields in TFS support rich text.  For instance, the "description" field for most work item types is stored as plain text.  It will not be possible to sync TeamPulse rich text to plaint text or string fields.  The only fields we'd be able to sync rich text to are fields whose type is set to "html" in the work item type definition.

The second issue is that TFS's rich text capabilities are somewhat limited compared to what TeamPulse can do.  For the most part this won't be a problem though as usually it's just simple formatting that is required (i.e. bullet points, bold, font colour, hyperlinks, etc.)

Thanks,
Joel

But as far as I know, it is possible to change the TFS Work item fields to rich text (I mean, maybe at the default templates some fields are plain text, but if we can change them, we don't mind doing it).

I agree to that. I changed the field type to HTML already and sync afterwards. But data synched was still in plain text.
Maybe TeamPulse could determine the field type of the target filed and sync accordingly.

Hi guys,

We understand the importance to be able to sync the rich description and we will try to implement it in the upcoming releases. I can't promise that it will be in the next release because it is just a few weeks away but we will do our best.

Kind regards,
