Setting up Google Analytics for a Sitefinity 8.0-based intranet (not accessible via Internet). After entering the Client Id and Client Secret on the Marketing|Analytics Setup page and clicking the 'Login to Google' button, I get a page that says, "Intranet would like to: Have offline access" - Deny or Allow. I click the Allow button and am returned to the Marketing|Analytics page with the large 'Configure Analytics' link in the middle of the page. Clicking that again takes me to the Analytics Setup page where the Client Id and Client Secret fields are still empty.

Question 1: Does Google Analytics need to be able to read directly from the site in order to do its job (can't, because the site is not Internet-accessible)?

Question 2: if not, any ideas on what may be holding me up?

Thanks!

Hello Stan,

Please note that you need to have access to the internet in order to be able to login to your Google account after you enter the Client ID and the Client secret and then click on the Login to Google. This will allow Sitefinity to get the data from Google Analytics and display it in Sitefinity.
