We're using a localised (nl-NL) version of the editor.

In the table properties dialog, there is the option to bring up a style editor popup.
That dialog has many empty/invisible language strings, eg. most of the dropdowns there seem to be empty.

Possibly this is because of missing NL translations?

If so:
1) Why doesn't the dialog display the non-translated english default strings instead of nothing?
2) Which RESX file to we need to translate to get NL language strings for that style editor?

And if this is not because of missing NL translations: what is the cause then?

Hi Marja,

It would be really helpful if you could provide a simple project with the used resx files, so that I could investigate what is missing and further guide you on resolving the issue.

Providing a sample project is not a trivial task.

Could you please simply answer my 2nd question then:

2) Which RESX file to we need to translate to get NL language strings for that style editor?

Hello Marja,

The labels of the tools are located in the RadEditor.Tools.resx file. This is by default and I suppose you should search them in the file corresponding to the used localization.

I thought "tools" were things on the toolbar, but the style editor is a dialog. And I don't see its language strings in the tools-resx file.

But I think I found its strings in the dialogs-RESX now. Turns out our nl-NL version was missing lots of keys.

Strange that the editor doens't fall back on its default english texts in those cases....!

Hello Marja,

The mentioned translated resource is a custom one and not officially supported by Telerik. Issues and problems related to them should be handled as per to the case and by the developer of the application.

The tools in the context menus are actually the same tools located into the toolbar and the names are the same as set in the toolbar.

The RadEditor can fall back to default labels, although if the corresponding labels have been set to empty strings, they are considered as strings and cannot be detected as null or undefined.

I suggest comparing the used localization files with the ones officially provided in the Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX suite and modify the labels as per to your needs.
