Hi Chris,
We believe that there is a problem with notifications when the app is not running in the current version. However the PushPlugin is a 3rd party software and not maintained by us, so please check out the github page of the plug-in directly for known problems and comment.

This has been addressed in the latest update to PushPlugin: https://github.com/phonegap-build/PushPlugin/pull/5
However, I now have the question about how I go about implementing this plugin update for use in Icenium? From what I can see, the current (broken) version of the plugin is wrapped up in the Icenium IDE?
Thanks,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,
It is not possible to update a Cordova plug-in by yourself at this time, but we're working on generic pluginstall Cordova plug-ins support at the moment and we hope to introduce this functionality for subsequent release.
On a side note, it looks like the fix for the issue is still not part of the latest version as the pull request containing it was requested after the last commit.

Thanks Steve. I don't suppose I could press you for an ETA on the next release?
Yeah, I am aware it has not been merged. I was going to try installing the branch if it was possible.

Hi Stephen,
We cannot engage with an exact ETA at this point, and even if I were to share a date, it would be a speculation. If all goes well, it could be a couple of months.
Sorry for not being able to be more concrete.

Hello Stephen,
This is just a follow up in case you have missed the introduction of Plugman-compatible Apache Cordova plugins in Icenium 1.6. For more information, see Working with Custom Plugins.
Now you would be able to add compatible custom plug-in to your Icenium project and keep it up to date yourself.

Steve
