Printing a receipt

What is the best way to print a receipt with a variable paper size? For instance, a cash register receipt, or a receipt from a thermal printer, with a spool of paper and a continuous feed?

Hi Joe,

Telerik Reporting prints in a page oriented format and it is not possible to make any adjustment for variable page height. Can you point us to a reporting product that support this functionality so that we can better grasp the functionality you're after?

Hello Brian,

How the report will be printed depends on the set PageSettings e.g. PaperSize, Landscape and Margins. Thus even on a roll of paper each page will have the same size.

Has there been any improvements to support this functionality with telerik reporting?  We made the change to Telerik reporting from Crystal reports for our point of sale product.  In Crystal, I was able to support printing to a receipt printer with a variable paper size.

The feature is considered for implementation, but there is no ETA yet. When the feature is planned for development, it will be listed in Telerik Reporting Roadmap.

My suggestion is to vote for the logged feature to raise its priority.

Hello,

As of Telerik Reporting R3 2016 printing on continuous paper is supported. There is a PageSettings.ContinousPaper property allowing you to print without paging the document.
