Since I don't have any "fun" links right now, I decided to post here some very beautiful pictures from Bulgaria - the country where we are located:

Enjoy!

Those are beautiful...

I think I have to add Bulgaria to my list of countries to visit when I make it to Europe now :-)  Thank you for sharing some of your country with us!

Yes very beautiful!  Many of those pictures remind me of the sorts of scenery here in North Idaho (with the mountains, lakes and rural areas)... additionally similar to many parts of the Pacific Northwest around Oregon.

I'd like to make a visit someday to Bulgaria as well.  Thanks for sharing.

I'll second that, Josef.  We'd love be able to put some faces with all your names, guys!  Maybe we should start a thread where we can all take turns posting pictures of our office/desk area...

Hi guys.

You can find pictures of some of us in our blogs and in the TechEd 2006 page. We may post some "desk pictures" if you really want us to :)

As to the r.a.d.grid team, the members are much younger, Josef :-) I have attached a picture of myself while in New York, earlier this year. I will see whether I will be able to get the guys to do some "social" work and provide a short profile of themselves here.

Yours kindly,

Vlad

Much prettier than the scenery here in Texas. Maybe we'll try to escape the summer heat one year and make a trip to the telerik HQ. :)

Todd,

That's actually a very good idea. By the way, we've had customers knocking on our door last week - the guys were from France and just dropped by to say "Hi". I believe they were on a business trip here in Bulgaria and used the occasion to come see us.

You can combine the trip with active tourism which is kinda big in Bulgaria lately. Nice seaside @ the Black Sea (although I personally do not like the boom - lotsa people, new huge buildings all over.... not exactly the quiet/chilled vacation that I prefer).

I personally enjoy skiing much more. One of the newest ski resorts in Europe is in Bulgaria - Bansko. Great place, nice skiing infrastructure,  great town - the best national-style pubs in Bulgaria are in Bansko.

Btw, my name is Rumen Stankov, a (not-so-recent) picture of me can be found @ my blog profile http://blogs.telerik.com/user/Profile.aspx?UserID=1012. I'm kinda keeping low profile on the blog recently, much work to take care of. I'm dealing mostly with navigational controls development, writing help here and there and answering support tickets.

Thanks Rumen. It's fun to put a face with a name.

Bulgaria is definitely pretty. I had never really thought of it as being a destination of choice (forgive my U.S./Texas ignorance), but after seeing your pics it has opened my eyes. Whenever we make a jump across the pond to Europe, we'll try to make a stop in Bulgaria.

Thanks~

Todd, Kevin, John & I got a wonderful opportunity to travel to Bulgaria last October for DevReach.  A few photos from that trip are littered around the Internet:

The mountains looming over the Sofia are beautiful.  I really really really hope I get to go back someday.

I have been on a vacations trip in bulgaria at stara zagora region. The stara zagora region is relatively undiscovered by tourists, despite the wealth of historical and cultural attractions and the fantastic scenery of the balkans and sredna gora mountains close by. Why not experience a different kind of holiday and a different area of bulgaria, away from the noise, over development and over crowded places like sunny beach, golden sands or bansko. Days trips to plovdiv, veliko turnovo or burgas or sofia are all easily possible from here by car or coach.
Therentalbug offers a small selection of bulgarian houses for long term let. Renting a bulgarian property for a longer period is a great way to experience life in bulgaria prior to committing to buying a Bulgaria property. By renting for 12 months you get to experience the lovely, long hot summers, and also the cold, crisp winters and have the time to decide properly if bulgaria is for you without rushing into anything.

So since I have nothing better to do and have been actively annoying the team on my work account for the last 2-3weeks I decided I need to revisit all my posts from all my accounts and subscribe to the posts even if it was from 2005.

Update: since the telerik hq office is in the same neighborhood where I grew up, I finally managed to go visit in December 2013. My visit was only 2weeks and unplanned so I basically sent a message on LinkedIn asking if I can stop by and maybe meet someone with 1day notice... I was shocked that when I arrived there was someone who was expecting me. I got to see the lobby and was pleasantly surprised by all the awards and accomplishments recognitions from all over the world! We had a quick coffee meeting and over all it was an awesome and exciting experience.

Very proud of you guys!
