I'm using OLAP connection to pivot grid. I have noticed that all of my attributes in dimensions are listed in "more fields" group. i don't want that grouping. (excel it doesn't group that way)

Yohan

Hi Yohan,

Could you please elaborate a bit more on the exact behavior you are pointing? Sending some screenshots which describes the unexpected behavior will help us further investigate the problem.

Hi Yohan,

The groups that appear with OLAP are actually coming from the cube you are binding to. The RadPivotGrid just presents this information. Therefore you could manipulate the groups directly in the cube.

Hello Maria,

Indeed you are right but my concern is that Telerik pivot grid dimension attribute listing behavior is different from excel. I have attached a snap from your demos which lists normal attributes in "more fields" grouping and hierarchy type attributes without any grouping. but this happens other way around when i connect the cube to excel as it shows hierarchy types attributes on more fields and normal attributes without any grouping which is what I'm expecting. you can try this if you connect your cube to excel and compare the same area which i have pointed in the snap with the excel result.

Hi Yohan,

Could you please send us the presentation of the fields hierarchy in Excel when blinded to the same Cube, so that we could see the exact difference you are talking about?

Hello Bob,

The mentioned grouping functionality is already fixed in the RadPivotGrid and it could be easily manipulated with the current version of the control.

Hello Maria,

I've noticed that in Telerik Q1 SP1 build there is a server side flag to flatten the more fields grouping "FlattenOlapUncategoriezedFields " (gets/sets a value indicating if all categorized fields coming from OLAP cube will be placed under category folder or rendered directly as children). But when i set this to true it remove the more fields grouping and its attributes. I want the attributes of more field grouping to be listed outside without that grouping. can you provide me a working sample of it?

Thanks and Regards,
Yohan
