Hi,

I have seen the "Legend and heatmap" feature in the roadmap of the map control. Can you please explain this in a few sentences? I would not start playing around with coloring my shapefiles on the map if a native heatmap will be supported next month.

Many thanks and best regards,
Tamás

Hi Tamas,

These features will be available in the Q3 version of the map control.

The "heatmap" feature will be implemented with new ColorMeasureScale class.
It will allow calculating the range collection with brushes according to specified Min, Max, Ticks and brushes collection. It will allow selecting the brush according to the double value. Also it will contain the functionality to color map shapes which are read from KML or ESRI shape-file according to the property from extended data. The extended data is created from KML ExtendedData tag or from a record of database which relates to the shape-file.

Also the ColorMeasureScale class instance will be used to show map legend.
The map legend displays brushes and values according to it.

I have attached a screenshot which demonstrates these features.

Sincerely yours,
