I am afraid that Mono is not supported yet. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Will you support Mono in the near future?
I am afraid that support for Mono is not planned for the near future.

is the above statement still valid or are ther now plans for supporting Mono ?
We are looking into mono from time to time, there are still issues with the sql server driver. We do not have concreate plans to support mono at the moment.

Does the lastest version of OpenAccess ORM work with POSTGRE on MONO ?
With the actual status of the mono project, we have decided to not support mono at the moment.
You can use PostgreSQL with OpenAccess on windows systems.

Thank you for being the most amazing .NET community! Your unfailing support is what helps us charge forward! We'd appreciate your vote for Telerik in this year's SQL Server Community Awards. We are competing in TWO categories and every vote counts! VOTE for Telerik NOW >>
I'll prefer having OpenAccess to support Mono and connect to MySQL or develop a WCF service to bridge to MSSql. So don't blame mono project for not deliver stable mssql driver
I have made some tests with mono and MySql and it does not look too bad.
I was able to execute CRUD operations. Nevertheless the schema operations have a problem. If it is possible to create and update the database schema from a .NET vm, you should be able to run your MySql application under mono.

You can use it with a some risk. We do not run regular tests but I have executed a third of our testsuite and that looked good. Official support might be comming in Q1 2013.

Thanks,
I am sorry, no improvements yet. I have raised the priority again but I am not sure if we are able to work on it for the Q2 2013 release.

Regardless of any official support (i'm on my own, I know), I'm curious if it can at least read/write to SQLite on MacOS via Mono. Would really love to use this on my OOB Silverlight application.
Working on a big project where i want to use Mono inlcuding Telerik Ajax and ORM
Unfortunately we were not able to schedule Mono support for the last or the upcoming Q3 release. I would invite everyone that is interested to vote for it on our Feedback Portal, so that we can have a clear picture how many people require it as opposed to other improvements we might consider in the planning after Q3.

Unfortunately Mono support is still in our backlog as a pending implementation.

I have seen the request on your feedback portal at http://feedback.telerik.com/Project/114/Feedback/Details/1039-mono-support
I ran the MoMA (Mono MIgration Analyzer) over the OpenAccess.35.Extensions.dll, OpenAccess.dll and OpenAccess.Runtime.dll and basically the extensions appear fine, OpenAccess.dll appears to have all of about 2 problems relating to CodeAccessPermission, and then the runtime appears to have a few problems most of which appear to be MessageQueue related, or DbConnection.GetSchema related, or PreparingEnlistment.Prepared, and ForceRollback, and Form.AutoScaleBaseSize set. This was done by a somewhat fixed version of MoMA that scans against the latest release as I didn't see the latest profiles available from the mono project
Now that tells me that the earlier comment I've seen that the fluent api should mostly work on mono except for schema migrations would appear to be mostly correct but I haven't tried it as of yet.
I would just like to know how many people it would take to express interest to get Telerik to support mono. We're evaluating it for a indie game and would love to be able to use it but we must support mono.
Thanks,
Chris
Hello Chris,
It is not easy to answer your question for a free product. From my perspective you should be able to just use OpenAccess in your project as long as you do not use our synchronized L2 cache and System.Transaction. Our support will help you with mono related problems outside this areas.

Telerik
The mono status is still unchanged. If you use mysql your app will work under Linux and Windows / Mono. During our latest tests the schema migration was also working fine.
