Since the recent upgrade to 1.10 of Graphite, I've noticed when deploying an application to our development devices, specifically an iPad, the live sync feature stopped working. The application is still in Debug Mode, and i've fully removed and redeployed the application from the device with no luck. Any thoughts?

Hello Paul,
This could happen if you're using Icenium ION and your projects still target Cordova 3.0. Upgrading to Cordova 3.2 would resolve this problem.

I actually have never used ION and have always used Graphite. I even went to the extent of creating a completely blank NEW project, which targets Cordova 3.2 by default now, and still have issues with live sync.

Hi Steve,
We are experiencing similar issues (or rather; it sounds like they're exactly the same).
For clarity's sake:
- 2 existing projects which were LiveSync`ing fine suddenly stopped doing so. LiveSync now causes a black/white screen to appear on our device (in our case, iPad specifically).
- 1 sample project (the camera sample) exhibits the same behavior; does not load properly, displays black/white screen on the device.
- Targeting Cordova 3.2
Attached you can find 3 screenshots:
- IMG_0027.png: what the iPad screen looks like
- icenium.JPG: screenshot of Graphite, displaying the sample app itself and the console
- icenium2.JPG: screenshot of Graphite, displaying our targeted platform (Cordova 3.2.0)
This is hurting our development rather badly right now as LiveSync is completely broken for us.
For what it's worth; creating a provisioned deployment/package of the app(s) works fine, and installing these apps also work fine.
Regards,
Sander

Hello guys,
From your explanations it sounds like you have not updated Icenium ION to latest version. Please go to the App Store and make sure Icenium ION is latest version.
I've tested the camera sample on an iPad with latest Icenium ION and everything works fine on my end.

Steve

Hello Paul,
See the screenshot, which LiveSync is ON in your case? Can you share a concrete app you're having problems with, so we can take a look at it?

Steve,
As far as I know we're on the latest version of ION. We updated to version 2.3.0 of ION (or 1.10 in Icenium terms I suppose) last week. Are we missing something, perhaps?
As for Graphite - this auto updates so I presume this is always on the latest version. We can target Apache Cordova 3.2.0 which to me indicates we are indeed on the latest version, but this might be a false assumption.
How do we get to a working solution from here?
Regards,
Sander

Hi Sander,
As we're unable to reproduce problems with ION or Project LiveSync locally, we would appreciate if you share which is the problematic project, so we can look into it.

Hi Steve,
Sure, I can share a project with you, considering none of them work for us right now, including the aforementioned Camera sample, so I'm not sure how this will help. But we're willing to try anything as we're stuck.
It's worth mentioning that this is on multiple Laptops with multiple devices. Not 'just a one off'.
Where / how would you like me to share this? You'll forgive me for not posting sources on a public forum.
Regards,
Sander

Hi Sander,
Giving us the email address you use to login to Icenium and the name of the app should be enough. You can open a new support ticket for this, where everything will stay confidential.

Same issue for me, brand new project, on ipad air, ion 1.1 and I just get a black and white screen. Also the only way to debug on an ipad is with a provisioned ipad only, correct?

Steve,
1) the Project LiveSync toggle button is currently Off via the Devices view in Graphite for my iPad. This is the same device I have used for development and it's listed on our provisioning profile as one of our development devices. The iPad has not been updated with any new OS's and is still on 6.1.3. I have totally uninstalled the application from the device and redeployed it, making sure that Graphite was still in Debug build mode, with no luck. In further testing, the SAVE button in Graphite does NOT force a re-sync, however a 3-finger press and hold will redeploy to the device, however this is slightly inconvenient.
2) I would point you to the project to see for yourself, however, the app is tied to our active directory, and you would need credentials to get past the log in screen, which we are unable to provide.
