Could not load file or assembly 'Telerik.Web.UI version etc etc'
Strong Name assembly could not be found etc, etc.
Imagine this scenario, you take a project off a collegues desk, You get the message as above, to overcome the problem you start a new project, then add the references required by Telerik(We have been using them for 2 years), then add the items from the toolbox (yes we unistall the old version and then reinstall the 'new bug free version' and all of the new items show in the toolbox), then build the project and test it. This results in a program that works (no code changes only new telerik controls).
At some time later in the next 8 weeks guess what ? 'Could not load file or assembly 'Telerik.Web.UI version etc etc'' start loop again, now this does not happen with the MS Controls, or the Infragistics controls or the many others
Instead of rushing out new features, advising the customer on an almost monthly basis the 'problem is fixed in the new version', 'have you checked the web.config' etc, why do you not just sit down and handle your module responsible for the licensing of the 'paid for product'!
I have been so pleased, that I have slowly been working through our UI projects and replacing the Telerik based UI with Actionscript 3 coded controls and Flash. I did not want this work this year but the work seems to provide a robust, stable platform.
Conclusion
I dont think that I will be renewing my subscription.
