I'm trying to run Fiddler on a Win 8.1 machine.

When I run the "fix loopback mess" tool I get an exception reported.

    NetIsoEnumAppContainers 0x6f4.

What is the meaning of the exception?

    Hi, Mike--

The error in question is a null-pointer exception inside the RPC service, which reflects a bug in Microsoft's API or a configuration issue on your machine.

Having said that, if you have a current version of the EnableLoopback tool, it should offer to perform a manual registry crawl and update the loopback exemptions that way, unblocking you despite the bug in the API. Did that work for you?

Check out the Telerik Platform - the only platform that combines a rich set of UI tools with powerful cloud services to develop web, hybrid and native mobile apps.

Yep I'm running a version that gives me the manual crawl.  (I think there was a warning that it might be incomplete.)

Thanks for the feedback.  Now I need to figure how to debug the issue.
