Sorry for the comment, but I have the feeling that OA is far away from other Telerik products.

It’s not full supported on VS2010 (always the same answer.. next week maybe)

The latest stable version is: 2010.1 (mar 9, 2010)

The Forum activity is low

There are not to many blog entries

Sorry for the question, but Are you going to push forward the product?? Or should be consider to move to another ORM??

I'm currently evaluation a ORM and I would like to know the future support of OA.

Thanks!

Hi Iosu Buenetxea,
Please feel free to ask anything on your mind through our support system. As to your question let me update the current status:

- Visual Designer works under VS2010, plus we resolved all pending installation problems

- We are integrating currently the DSW (Data Services Wizard) into our main installer, it is not a show stopper for the release

- Because we promised  WCF Ria Services support to the whole community and given that couple of days ago the official RIA Services bits were released, we want to push our initial support for this technology in the very same build that should encapsulate what I said above. It looks like this is what we finally require for our release.

We also are doing big changes to the documentation, I hope it will increase the quality of it, and as for the blogs, yes you are right and we will address this asap after we provide the VS2010 build.

The future of the product looks stable and promising, I would say that it starts gaining momentum and somewhere near Q2 we will be able to provide a complete workflow with the new designer (including forward mapping).

Best wishes,

Hi Dimitar

First thank you for updating the status of OA.

You have to understad that comparing with the rest of telerik products that you have weekely updates is strange to see that this is not the case of OA. Probably because you want to ship the most stable a feature complete OA.  That is the best, but you know how the computer business is better that me and sometime when you want to ship the BEST you lose the time Oportunity.

I hope ones you ship the next build (I hope is soon) you start with a weekely updates of OA like the rest of telerik products. Because this is something very important with a product like a ORM.

Waiting for the next Build.

Thanks!
