Please be very clear on this on your website, right not this is not really the case.
If you do support, then plese update this page with the proper references needed for UWP. I am struggling desperately to get this the ListView (and the other controls) to work...

Thank you for brining up this question.
On Wednesday, we released a new major version of UI for Xamarin with official support for UWP. The documentation will be updated iteratively, and actually the first iteration including the type of articles in question has just been done. You can also check the SDK Browser application that come with the product, where we have UWP examples.
