Hi,

I have a fully generated data model. I used the reverse engineering wizard to map my tables to classes. I added some fields to various tables and I want to regenerate my entire data model and delete everything that is currently there/present. I do not want to merge differences. I want to regenerate it. How can I accomplish this using the reverse engineering wizard? I do not want to manually delete 40 classes that telerik created and then regenerate it. I am hoping there is a way to let the tool do this for me.

Hi Bill,

If you do not want to merge the changes but regenerate the entire model please follow the below mentioned stepts -
  1. In the Simple View uncheck the 'Map all tables' checkbox. This will unmap all the tables.
  2. Click the  'Generate & Save Config' button. This will save the settings and delete all the classes that were generated.
  3. Reopen the wizard and press the 'Reload' button in the Reverse mapping wizard. This will reload the entire database schema and map it to classes. You can then mark all the classes for generation and press the 'Generate & Save Config' button.
