We are looking for a tool to automate some of the common template type code for some of the common ViewModel classes. For example, in the OpenAccess WPF example, a template to generate a default CategoryViewModel and a businessObject for each table/object in the domain model.

Has anyone tried CodeSmith or any of the other tools / know of any that may support OpenAccess?

Hi topry,

You can use CodeSmith or T4 Templates to generated the required code. Unfortunately OpenAccess does not provide any templates for MVVM infrastructure out of the box.

In case you decide to build your own templates, we at OpenAccess team and the whole community will be happy if you share the results.

If you need any assistance in creating the template you are welcome to post your questions here in the forum or in our customer support forum.

Greetings,
