I'm trying to create a kendo menu that stays inside a bootstrap responsive grid. I don't want to set an explicit width, but allow users to scroll when items don't fit in the screen width.

Example: https://dojo.telerik.com/EJojofaD/6

When I try to click on a sub menu item, it closes too soon. When I remove the 'scrollable' property, clicking on child items works, but the menu overflows its containers.

How can I have a menu that stays inside a bootstrap grid column without specifying a width explicitly, and still be able to?

Hello, Shashwat,

The behaviour is due to a known bug introduced with 2023.2.606 version. The bug is logged with high priority and a fix should be available for the next release.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hello Martin,

Thanks for the confirmation. I looked for existing issues at https://feedback.telerik.com/ and https://www.telerik.com/forums/kendo-ui but didn't find anything. Are issue trackers now moved to github?

Known bug aside, is my dojo using the recommended way of creating a menu with varying/responsive width?

Hello, Shashwat,

We normally open a bug report in the Feedback Portal, but in this case my colleague seems to have missed that part. Kindly follow the thread in GitHub for further information on the matter.
