"Azure Mobile Services" is a backend as a service offering similar to Icenium Everlive. Everlive has some unique features like segmented/targeted push notifications and power fields to name a few. It also has cloud code execution and you can edit the code online or from Icenium Graphite (the Windows desktop client for Icenium)
Icenium as a whole provides much more than Azure Mobile Services and is a complete platform for building mobile applications including:
- Tools like built-in mobile simulator, code editor and advanced code analysis
- Frameworks like Apache Cordova for native API access and Kendo UI Mobile for native look and feel widgets
- Services like Cloud Build, Everlive data storage and Everlive push notifications
Hope this helps to understand what's the difference between the two products. I would be glad to help if you want to dive in Icenium's capabilities.
