Hello,

I'm using it for debugging mobile web sites. Trying to start the appbuilder today results in Application can not be started. Contatct the application vendor window. Following log file (attachment) is presented when I click on Details....

I tried to uninstall it, but nothing happens. So I just deleted the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Telerik folder. After that, when I start the setup, the above window appears.

I really need it, so I'll be very appreciate for any help.

To save time I confirm the issue both on windows 7 and windows 8.

I've re-installed, and that didn't change anything

Hi guys,

Yesterday we released AppBuilder 2.9.1 which should introduce a fix for the failure in the AppBuilder Windows client. Please, let me know if there are issues after the update. I hope it helps.

Further, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Thank you for the patience and the understanding in advance.

Hello, there is no change on my side - I re-downloaded the setup.exe (http://www.telerik.com/appbuilder/windows-client - if this is the wrong place, please provide the correct url), but everything remains the same as described in my first post (only version number in log file is changed).

Hello Peter,

Thank you for the new logs. The issue on your side could be caused due to a known clickonce issue in the AppBuilder Windows client installer. To see if this is the case and fix it, please follow all the steps from this article about uninstalling AppBuilder. The latest optional step is the most important one.
"In Windows Explorer, go to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Apps\2.0 and delete its contents.
This operation will remove data for all ClickOnce applications on your system and might affect their performance."

The used by you download link is the correct one.

Please, let me know of the results.

Hello, i am experiencing the same issue with my Windows 8 OS. I have followed Kaloyan's instructions that also mentioned in the article about uninstalling AppBuilder but problem still exists. The AppBuilder screen shows up for 1 sec and disappears. I was using AppBuilder on the same PC a month ago without a problem.

Hello vehbi burak,

Could you please open a support ticket about the matter and share the AppBuilder logs there? You will find them under %LocalAppData\Telerik\BlackDragon\Logs. Another useful information would be to check for any errors logged in the Windows Event Viewer for AppBuilder.

Also, it will help us a lot if you can provide a Fiddler trace in the support ticket as well. To get such, you can follow the next steps:
1. Download Fiddler from here and install it.
2. Run Fiddler and go to Tools -> Fiddler Options.
3. On the HTTPS page, verify that Capture HTTPS Connects is enabled.
4. Verify that Decrypt HTTPS traffic is enabled with the ...from all processes option and minimize Fiddler to tray.
5. Start the AppBuilder Windows client and wait until the issue reproduces.
6. Open Fiddler again, go to File -> Save -> All Sessions, save the archive to disk (a SAZ file).
7. Finally, send us the saz files attached to your support ticket.

All of the above details could consist sensitive information and this is exactly why I recommend sharing them in a private support ticket.

Thank you for the help in advance.

Regards,
Kaloyan
