Your Control Panel is a WPF app with a nice auto-updater.

For WPF developers, deployment and automatic updates are always important issues to deal with so I'm wondering if you developed this auto-update technology in house and if so, would you consider releasing this techonology bundled with your UI for WPF so we can all use it and if not, why not?

    Thanks,

    Dean

Forgott to mention that you apparently use the same auto-update technology for your other rich client apps like Just Trace and Just Mock but for some reason we are no longer allowed to edit posts so I have to reply to my own post...

    Hello Dean,

The ControlPanel and its auto-update functionality are developed in-house in order to make it easier to download and update our products. Current we do not have plans to release it as part of the UI for WPF suit as it is a custom implementation developed to serve our specific needs.

What you're talking about exists in .net already.  Its called ClickOnce and works well with WPF.

And you're using it to deploy commercial applications?
