Obviously you don't know what responsive means!

Hello Nima,

Telerik Reporting has an HTML5 Viewer which is designed for modern browsers. The viewer widget is placed ina  DIV element that you can size via standard CSS. The content of the viewer will resize automatically based on the DIV element of the viewer.
Also reports in the viewer can be scaled - scale and scaleMode.

Please elaborate on the existing issues in order to check if we are missing a feature in the viewer, and if they are result of external settings of the page.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Regards,
Stef

Please read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Responsive_web_design again!

No one is going to scale or something!

Open one of your HTML5 demos and resize the browser to minimum possible size (or chrome device screen simulator). if you can't read the whole report without scrollbar it's not Responsive!

Hi Nima,

I am still uncertain about the issue. Please create a video illustrating the problem.

You can find attached a video illustrating the functionality of the HTML5 Viewer on my machine: how the viewer resizes and changes templates depending on the size of the browser window. I am also illustrating how the content can be scaled in the viewer for better readability (scaleMode.FIT_PAGE).
Please point the issues in the video as well. The video is a SWF file that can be previewed in IE browser.

You can also review the HTML and CSS of the viewer, where files are installed by default under C:\Program Files (x86)\Telerik\Reporting <VERSION>\Html5\ReportViewer.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Stef

Hi Nima,

The HTML5 Viewers in the online demos use ScaleMode=SPECIFIC and Scale=1.0. In an application you can use ScaleMode=FIT_PAGE or ScaleMode=FIT_PAGE_WIDTH in order to see the whole content scaled in the available space of the HTML5 viewer.

If you add kendo.mobile.min.js, you will have also touch support. You can check the implemented 'touch' support in the viewer's [Install_Folder]\Telerik\Reporting R2 2017\Html5\ReportViewer\js\telerik ReportViewer-x.x.x.x.js file. Search for 'trv.touchBehavior' (about line 1580). It includes scaling with double tap.

We plan further improvements in the mobile view of the HTML5 Viewer affecting the way the toolbar looks. Your feedback will be appreciated.

Stef

Hi Nima,

We tested on Samsung S5 device, and the report is displayed with ScaleMode=SPECIFIC, Scale=1.0, where the content can be scrolled by sliding. Taping results in changing the ScaleMode, that is part of the touch support, which allows the whole content to be displayed on screen, or the content to be scaled to fit the width of the device.
Rotating the device results in properly resized viewer and content, which is the intended behavior in our design.

Please elaborate on the features you find missing in the available implementation in order to discuss them with the development team. Improvements are already planned and your feedback will be highly appreciated.

Stef
