It would be very useful either in the help or the website help or somewhere to show each component and identify which dll they reside in. This way we know exactly which dll to point the reference to. Also, if component may depend on more than one dll, please specify that too.

Thanks!

Hi ..Ben,

This is a great suggestion and we will be definitely looking into adding this feature to the help files.

Thanks Boryana;

As more and more controls and namespaces will show up, I think there should be a section (clearly defined) that developers can go to and look or as part of installation, create a text file and place it Binaries  folder that can be updated whenever there is an update. But since Q1 is coming, at least give us that text file and then worry about site or help files.

Thanks!

Hello ..Ben,

Thank you for the good suggestion.
In Q1 we will include a section describing each component and identify which dll they reside in.This way you will know exactly which dll to point the reference to.

Where is this? Maybe I'm missing something, but I've had a hard time figuring out this very same thing, and I'm using the latest release.

Also, any hope for seeing something like this for Silverlight Controls? http://www.telerik.com/support/documentation-and-tutorials/step-by-step-tutorial-for-ajax.aspx. It was very easy to get started with ASP.NET AJAX controls, but this is not the case with Silverlight. Took a lot of trial and error to even figure out that there's really no use in trying to develop in Blend with Silverlight Telerik controls--unless I'm missing something.

Frustrating. More documentation would be nice. I'm finding that the demos code is better documentation than the actual documentation.

Dave, I've created a JPEG that will be helpful, but the forum doesn't allow me to attach any file. If you want, give me your email and I'll send it to you!

You guys rock. Thank you. I really appreciate it.

Also, my initial assertion that it was practically useless to develop with Telerik Silverlight controls in Blend was incorrect. I finally figured out what I was doing wrong yesterday. I don't know why it wasn't working the first time I tried referencing the libraries, but it wasn't... Wednesday was a really frustrating day...

David, one of the things I've noticed with Blend 2, is when you have any problem or errors, you should exit out of Blend (not just closing the solution) and then restart again. At times If I didn't reset Blend, then I would have more and more problems.

With Blend, it's like walking on thin ice!

@Ben- That JPEG looks familiar! :) Glad the resources from the Silverlight Webinars are finding their way to the forums. For anybody else looking for the original context of the image on this forum thread, check out the recorded video on Telerik TV:

Hey Todd, in my original email I wrote to Valio, I gave "you" the credit for that image and never took credit for your work and told him the session was fantastic.

Here what I wrote to him:
"I was just watching Todd's Webinar and he showed a slide that showed the controls and the assemblies. I grabbed it and here you are to put it somewhere for use. I really liked his session"
