I started with the "Prometheus" version, and have everything changed that was needed, to run the new controls.
The one thing i not can figure out, is where the setting has gone,  to use a window like a splash screen?
Or how i can create a splash screen with this version?

I have search everywhere, but still didn't found it.
Help on the window control is (for now) not available here, so can someone point me a direction :-)

    Hello Marco,

At this point there is no splash feature in RadWindow "Prometheus". Unlike in pure ASP.NET, in ASP.NET AJAX the client objects are created just after the page is loaded. Creating a RadWindow splash at this moment is useless.
We are currently investigating a possible implementation of the splash feature and once we have a good solution, we will implement it right away.

Has there been any luck on finding a way to make a splash window.  I am in desperate need of one.

    Hello Jason,

We still haven't implemented a splash RadWindow, but it is in our ToDo list for the final, official release of the "Prometheus" suite.

    Hi Henrik,

Unfortunately, we did not manage to implement the property. We tried it, but as my colleague mentioned earlier, ASP.NET AJAX framework does not support the splash behavior and we are still looking for a workaround.

Looking forward to a solution soon - as this was a great feature for displaying animation during load of large pages.

I am afraid not, Alan. Currently showing a splash window before the other controls are loaded is not possible due to restrictions from the ASP.NET AJAX framework.

So can I assume you will not be developing a splash feature?  I have a project due in December, and I need to know if I need to investigate other methods, or should I wait for later releases of ASP.NET AJAX.

    Thanks.

    Hello Alan,

At this point I cannot promise you that we would have such feature untill December. The reasons are explained above - all ASP.NET AJAX controls are created after the page is actually loaded which means that the splash will be loaded with all other controls - which of course makes the splash useless. If we come up with solution that gives a consistent result, we will publish it right away, however for now I cannot give you a timeframe.
