I have a pie chart with many slices and want to set the legend on the bottom of the chart with Vertical orientation of all the items.

If I set the legend position to right or left, the vertical orientation of the items works fine, but will not work on top or bottom of the chart. Is there a work around for this or will I have to manually create my own legend in a table below the chart?

Hello Susan,

Currently, there is no way to customize the legend to be displayed vertically when placed to the bottom or top of the chart. You could check this demo showing a custom legend creation.

Hi, are there any updates for this issue?  I am having the same issue as the original poster.  

I have a pie chart and want the legend located at the top (position = top) and orientation = vertical.   When will this feature be available?

Telerik support has confirmed that this is a bug w/ the Pie Chart (HtmlChart).   Here is the work-around until they fix it:
