Telerik reporting 8.1 14.804 : tools for Visual Studio 2015

Hello,

 

We are using 8.1 14.804 version of Telerik Reporting. We would like to use it with Visual Studio 2015 but the installer doesn't install anything for it.

Is there a way to have the report wizard (that would allow us to create specific avery labels reports) under Visual Studio 2015 ?

We don't want to upgrade our version of Telerik Reporting and we can't use VS2013 anymore. We are stuck with a product we bought but don't work anymore with VS2015. 

Please tell me if it is possible to do something.

Hello Steeve,

By the time of Q2 2014 SP1 (8.1.14.804) VS 2015 was not released yet. The recommended versions with support for VS2015 are Q3 2015 and greater.

Test installing Q3 2015 which will add the design-time support in VS 2015. Once having all wizards and designers in VS2015, you can downgrade the projects by running the Upgrade Wizard. For more details, please check Upgrading Telerik Reporting Projects (includes details how to keep both Telerik Reporting versions in parallel by using the MSI file to install).

Note that the VS Toolbox is always loaded with the greatest installed version on the machine. Thus you will have to work with Q3 2015 and then downgrade with the Upgrade Wizard, or use the Standalone Designer tool, or use the items' Context Menu to copy/paste items between designers.
