Hi There,

Recently we have downloaded the trial version of rad editor for Moss-2007. Version is: RadEditorMOSS_5_7_3_Trial.

Once we installed this on our SharePoint site we got the editor like attached screen shot. I just want to confirm that trial version is like this only or not? because here we are not seeing all the functionality mentioned on the site.

Also we want to confirm that , is there any trial version expiry date?

Thanks

Hi Amit,

The only difference between the trial and the full version of RadEditor for MOSS is that when you are using the trial version, a message, which notifies that you are using the trial version, will appear in every couple or more loading of the control. The trial period is 60 days.

Regarding the tools you can add/remove tools from the toolbar by modifying the ToolsFile.xml or ListToolsFile.xml, which are located in the /Program Files/Common Files/Microsoft Shared/web server extensions/wpresources/RadEditorSharePoint/5.x.x.0__1f131a624888eeed/Resources/ folder. Review the following online help article: http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/removing-tools-from-toolbar.html

Hi Amit,

After you aquire the license send us an official support ticket and we will provide you with the source code or RadEditor for MOSS. You will be able to use it in order to create a custom wsp solution.

Thanks for all your help.

It would be of great help if you can help us to know what would be the start date, from which this 60 days of the trail version will be counted?"

Hi Amit,

It would be of great help if you can help us to know what would be the start date, from which this 60 days of the trail version will be counted?" - 60 day is the period of free support, which you receive with downloading the trial. It start from the download moment of RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX, RadEditor for MOSS, or any other ASP.NET AJAX product.

The control it self will never expire, however I as I explained on every couple or more loads a message explaining that this is a trial version will appear.

Sincerely yours,
