I've set the TabStripPlacement property of the TabControl to "Left", and I certainly get the headers to the left of the window but they are placed like if it there was a bottom-to-top stackpanel... I don't know if I am explaining myself properly, I'd like to set the tab items to the left and I'd want them to be displayed in top of the window to bottom direction, instead of getting them at the bottom of the window as I currently do.

Hello Mrn,
For this particular scenario you will have to edit the RadTabControl's ControlTemplate as shown in the attached project. Have a look at it and let me know if this is what you had in mind.
