Hello,
I am using the asp.mvc spreadsheet control and I like it very much. It saved me lot of time. I have a small question regarding the data validation.
Scenario:
1. I set the row and column headers.(Row 1, Column A)
2. Range B2:Z10 is used for data cells - user will provide decimal values here
3. I style the sheet, header cells differ from data cells.
3. For all data cells I set the validation: (From menu I choose Data validation - Criteria: Number, Comparer: greater than, Min:0,)
4. I save the sheet as Json and store it in the database.
5. I recreate the spreadsheet from JSON and ask user to fill the data cells(B2:Z10) - Headers and values are set properly, colors too but validation is missing.
Could you advice me how should I proceed so data cells will be check with validation and user will be forced to put decimal values greater that 0? The step where I store the JSON in the database is obligatory.
Thank you for your quick response.

Hello Stefan,
I have just received the email "Just Released: Kendo UI Complete R1 2017". Have you resolved my problem and included the solution in the R1 2017 release?
Best Regards
Maciej
This is planned for the next internal build.
As it is a complex one it required more time for implementation and testing.
Please have in mind that the release day may vary because of the current workflow.

Hello,
is there any update on this issue? This is really important for us.
Yours,
Matt Zaleski
I want to apologise for the created situation, there were issues with the implementation of the import/export validation functionalities and it is still not implemented.
I will forward this again to the relevant team to check if there are specific limitations in this scenario and if we have a planned release for it.

Stefan

Validations are also missing when an xlsx file(created with google sheets) with validation is imported.
Regards,
Validation is yet not available on import / export of an xlsx file. If you think, that such feature will greatly improve the the widget functionality, I would recommend you to share your thoughts on the following GitHub issue.
