have a Silverlight 4 application that uses the RadHtmlPlaceholder control and needs to run with the windowless property set to true. All is fine when using IE 9, however when using FireFox (I have tried with 8 and 9) there seems to be an offset applied to the mouse position. So when I directly try click a button nothing happens but if I hover roughly 30px above the button and click it responds. I have tried solutions from the following forum posts to no avail:

http://forums.silverlight.net/t/94583.aspx/2/10

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8236746/windowless-silverlight-and-flash-app-on-firefox-wrong-mouse-positions-report

I am using a Windows 7 Professional machine with a 32-bit OS. At this point I am still open to new solutions, but am even more interested to know if this issue has been addressed within Silverlight 5.

Hello Scott McEachern,

We are not aware whether this issue is addressed in Silverlight 5. But we can see you have asked the same question in msdn: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/silverlightdeveloper/thread/e89857c7-a189-4762-b1ad-237af685b918
Hope they will have more info on this.

I also had this issue some years ago. I could never pinpoint exactly what caused it but it went away when I reinstalled FireFox.
