Unfortunately RadComboBox doesn't provide such an event where you can cancel the selection. The reason for this is that we inherit from the standard Selector control, which is in charge for the selection of RadComboBox. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Currently cancelling the selection is not possible with RadComboBox.  We're planning to improve this functionality in the next releases. Thank you for your understanding.
