Please let me know how to group the Radmenu items by headers. I binding the menu with data from SiteMapDataSource
I need to group the items similar to the menu that I see on telerik site

Say in the URL : http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/new-thread.aspx?forumId=250 under the Main Menu item "Products", items of the menu are grouped under a header

 "WEB UI CONTROLS & COMPONENTS",
 "DESKTOP UI CONTROLS & COMPONENTS"
 "DATA TOOLS"

Thanks

Hello Thomas,

Please refer to the following demos of the RadMenu and the RadSiteMap control where you can find very good examples of the appearance that you need to achieve:
  • http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/menu/examples/megadropdown/defaultcs.aspx

Kind regards,
Kate

Thankyou. Yes I can go for megadropdown, but I see a separate sitemap is used for each menu item. I am using sitemapdatasource (web.Sitemap) and if I am going through the route of megadropdown I need to have "N" number of sitemapdatasource for each main menu item. Please let me know if there is a way to use a single sitemap (web.sitemap) and implement a functionality similar to megadropdown.
I am also controlling the visibility of menu item based on user roles.

Thanks

Hi Thomas,

The menu in the url that you provided for an example of the appearance consists mainly of div-s and unordered lists tags. However, one approach that I can think of is that you use custom attributes as implemented in this KB.
