We installed the RadEditor lite on WSS 3.0 following the instructions on this site. No problems occurred. I see the two features on a site and activating the features goes OK too. Unfortunately when I'm using editing a page in a wiki site I do'nt get the RadEditor but only the standard editor. No error messages what so ever but no RadEditor either. Any suggestions on how to find out what is happening?

We are using Windows Server 2003 standard edition SP 1

Hello,

Did you restart the SharePoint web application after you activated the RadEditor features? Try running an "iisreset" command on the server and see if the editor will appear after that.

Another reason for the problem might be that you have not activated the editor features for that particular site or you tried to activate them with an account, which is not administrator on the server.

Sincerely yours,

Hello Telerik support team,

We have a similar issue trying to implement RadEditor Lite in our SharePoint 2010 Wiki.

Both of the following features were activated by our administrator, under his administrator ID.

Use RadEditor to edit List Items  (Active)

Use RadEditor to edit List Items in Internet Explorer as well (Active)

From a user perspective, neither existing pages or new pages activate the RadEditor.  We have reset IIS and even rebooted the server to no avail.  From the install documentation, we don't see anything else that we can try.

We would like to evaluate your product for potential purchase because the default editor is just plain unusable.

Is there any way that you can help resolve this issue?

Thank you,
Steve

Hi Stephen L,

The Light version of RadEditor for MOSS is not suitable for SharePoint 2010. This version of the control has not been updated for a couple of years now. The only versions of RadEditor for SharePoint, which are designed to work in SP2010 are RadEditor for SharePoint 2010 6.x.x. What I suggest you to do is download the free trial of RadControls for SP2010. It includes RadEditor for SP2010.

Kind regards,
