Hi!

I tried to use the "paste from Word" Action in our MOSS (v 12.0.0.6510) WCM.
Things I did:

  1. Added <tool name="PasteFromWord" /> to toolsfile.xml
  2. Added <radE:RadHtmlField ID="RadHtmlField1" runat="server" FieldName="PublishingPageContent" DisableInputFieldLabel="true" DisplayWidth="100%" AllowScripts="true" AllowSpecialTags="true"  /> to the Pagelayout.

The button shows up fine on the toolbar now, but it does not work as intended. It just pasts the text directly to the edit field (like the normal paste button). No popup to paste the text like on your demo. Any idea what went wrong? We are using the full version 5.6.0.0 of RADEditor for MOSS.

Hi Ulf,
I apologies for the inconvenience, but could you provide me with a couple of screen shots for the behavior (both in our demo and in your site). This will allow me get a better idea of the issue.

Kind regards,

Hi!

I attached the pics.

Telerik_1 to Telerik_3 show the behaviour on your demo site:
1) Click "Paste from Word"
2) Popup opens to paste the text into
3) Text with most formating shows up in the editor

MOSS_1 and MOSS_2 show the behaviour on SharePoint:
1) Click "Paste from Word"
2) Text without any formating shows up in the editor

I belive it should work like on your demo site with a popup to paste the text into it?

Hi Ulf,
I reviewed the provided images and I can tell the following. In the first test (Telerik_1 to Telerik_3 show the behaviour on your demo site:) you are using ether FireFox or some web kit (Safari or Chrome) browser. In the second test you are using Internet Explorer browser. What you should know is when you are using PasteFromWord option in IE the content is formatted automatically, however when you are using the command in other browser first you need to paste the content in the pop-up window.

Please review the following online demo http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/cleaningwordformatting/defaultcs.aspx.

You can find information on StripFormattingOptions Property in the following online help article http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet-ajax/telerik.web.ui-telerik.web.ui.radeditor-stripformattingoptions.html.
